Australian Botanicals and Ancient Wisdom

To create the formulations for our Baré facial serums, we traveled the red plains and lush forests of Australia to discover herbal botanicals that dramatically rejuvenate skin and provide essential antioxidant protection from the signs of aging.

We spoke to community leaders and wildlife rangers to uncover the botanical lore of the Aboriginal people and combined this ancient wisdom with modern scientific proof to design facial serums that provide dynamic skincare results.

Australia’s natural environment ranges from the extremely dry and harsh ‘red interior’ to lush tropical rainforests along the Eastern seaboard. Australian native plants boast intense botanical actives as a consequence of long evolution in often dramatically changing climates. With many labeled as superfoods, they have tremendously high levels of vitamins and antioxidants – as well as some incredibly rare properties!

  • Kakadu Plum provides the world’s highest natural concentration of Vitamin C
  • Caviar Lime has such high antioxidant levels that it can deliver visible exfoliation effects in just half an hour
  • The Tasman Pepper Berry contains rutin, which can reduce dark circles under the eyes, and has three times the antioxidant power of blueberries
  • Tea Tree is an extremely effective disinfectant and antifungal agent

The incredible Australian botanicals in our Baré facial serums provide very high levels of exfoliating actives and anti-aging antioxidants for more luminous skin, improved cell health and visible wrinkle reduction – all combining to deliver your skin a glorious anti-aging boost.

Baré active ingredients from the Australian wilds

Our star Australian botanical active is the superfruit Kakadu plum, which has evolved in central Australia’s harsh and extreme climate to produce small fruit which provides the world’s most concentrated natural source of Vitamin C.

With one hundred times more Vitamin C than oranges, the Kakadu plum is simply bursting with skin nourishing antioxidant power, providing protection from the aging effects of free radicals and stimulating synthesis of pro-collagen and hyaluronic acid to visibly reduce the evidence of aging.

Kakadu plum’s high levels of Vitamin C provide swift skin exfoliation and brightening for wrinkle reduction and a more radiant visage.

“In controlled tests, 100% of participants showed improved skin luminosity with the use of Kakadu plum extract.”

In ancient times, Kakadu plum provided an intense vitamin boost for the Aborigine people and was used as an antiseptic and as a soothing muscle balm.

The intense fruit acids in the gorgeous pearls of the sub-tropical caviar lime fruit provide super fast skin exfoliation for a smooth, bright, even skin tone.

Bursting with fruit acids, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants caviar lime has been clinically shown to stimulating TRPV3 channels for significant exfoliating action in just 30 minutes.

A treasured Aboriginal bushfood for thousands of years, caviar lime is still popular in drinks and meals.

The miraculous Australian Tea Tree Oil contains antiseptic and antifungal terpenoids, to keep skin free of acne, psoriasis, and any bacterial harm. It also helps preserve the serums.

For millennia, Australian aboriginals have used tea tree leaves for treating skin ailments, healing cuts, burns, and infections, sore throats, and colds. It remains a medical staple for many people.

Tasmanian pepper berry extract is exceptionally rich in strong antioxidants (three times greater than blueberries) and delivers unique phytochemicals, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory actives. It’s basically the ideal natural skincare ingredient for calming and protecting sensitive skin.

The anti-allergic active polygodial can swiftly reduce itching and burning sensations, while anthocyanin free radical scavengers protect skin cells from oxidative damage. Tasman pepper berry’s miracle anti-inflammatory active rutin strengthens capillaries and reduces dark circles under the eyes.

Called ‘Mourao’ by the Aborigine people, the Tasmanian Pepper has been gathered in the mountains of Australia throughout time.

The lillypilly, or riberry, extract supports skin cell regeneration, synthesizing collagen, elastin, and keratin for smooth, supple skin. Fruit acids exfoliate with glowing skin, while anti-oxidants and phytosterols protect against the environmental damage.

The pretty bunches of Lillypilly berries remain a popular Aboriginal food.

The Australian Lemon Aspen boosts skin cell regeneration and collagen, elastin and keratin synthesis for bright, supple skin, while fruit acids, anti-oxidants, and phytosterols exfoliate and protect the skin against free radicals.

Eaten by Aboriginal people for many thousands of years, the Lemon Aspen is a great source of Vitamin C.

The Davidson plum revitalizes your skin with a powerful natural cocktail of vitamins, minerals and amino acids for cell rejuvenation and elasticity. The natural acidity of Davidson Plums provides effective skin exfoliation while antioxidants and phytosterols protect your skin from the evidence of aging.

Like many Australian fruits, the Davidson Plums contain a rich concentration of beneficial goodness, and this along with their strong spicy clove-like flavor has made them a popular food originally for the Aboriginal people, and in modern Australian cuisine.

For over 40,000 years, the Aboriginal people have used these wonderful rainforest fruits for nutrition and medicines. Now Baré utilizes their powerful bio actives for the good of your skin.

Baré’s luxurious facial serums are packed with precious natural Australian botanicals with powerful and miraculous properties.
