Chapped lips troubling you this fall? Who doesn’t want to get rid of that feeling, and what better way than to make DIY lip scrubs right at home! After all, you feel good when you apply natural ingredients on your lips, don’t you?
All you need is two natural ingredients, one that acts as an exfoliator which removes your dead cells and the other acts as a nourishing agent that hydrates your lips once again. Anything else that goes into your lip scrub is usually for the aroma or color.
Coconut, sugar, and honey
Take one tablespoon of sugar and one teaspoon of coconut oil as well as one teaspoon of honey in a small container. Mix all of the ingredients and apply the lip scrub on your lips. Gently massage your lips for a minute and then wash it off or wipe it off. The sugar granules act as the exfoliating agent while the coconut oil and honey are the hydrating agents.
Peppermint oil, olive oil, brown sugar
You just need a drop of peppermint oil for the aroma and the cooling effect it will have on your lips. You need one teaspoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of granulated brown sugar for this one. Mix all of the ingredients together and massage your lips for a few minutes before you wash it off with warm water.
Cinnamon powder, sugar, olive oil, honey
If you want a lip scrub that has some healing properties, choose this one. The cinnamon powder plumps up your lip and gives this scrub a sensational aroma, while the sugar exfoliates your dead skin cells. The olive oil and honey help hydrate your lips. Take one tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of cinnamon powder, one teaspoon of olive oil and half a tablespoon of honey. Mix all of the ingredients, gently massage your lips and wipe it with a warm wash cloth.
After using any of these lip scrubs, do not forget to apply a lip balm to maintain the moisture of your lips. You will love how your lips feel and fall in love with them instantly.
